I don’t like early morning meetings. In fact, I am not a huge fan of meetings at all. But if you work, are a parent, member of a church or otherwise engaged in any community activity – meetings are often hard to avoid.
If you have to attend a meeting, always bring your “best self”. This means arriving on time, being prepared, and being an active participant in the meeting. Keeping yourself primed with good fuel can help you get the most out of the time you spend at meetings. Especially those 8am meetings.
I rarely go to a meeting without water and a healthy snack or two. Last week, I took a small container (4oz) of fresh blueberries to one of my meetings. I love blueberries for snack because they are easily portable, lightweight, full of antioxidants and naturally bite-sized. When I feel myself drifting off in thought, I bring my attention back to the meeting by popping a blueberry in my mouth!
Other great snack ideas include:
* cheese cubes with almonds
* apple slices and natural peanut butter
* yogurt with sunflower seeds (this is one of my favs!)
What is your favorite meeting snack?
