Today is January 1st and each new year’s day, we vow to eat better, eat less, and kick our sugar, coffee and 5-Hour Energy drink habit…. and of course, at least one of our resolutions includes eating more fruits and veggies, less fast food and more home-cooked meals. You feel me?
But instead making another set of unfulfilled resolutions, why not make a set of diet goals that will carry you through this year and every year thereafter? It bothers me to meet so many women who are dealing with diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, arthritis, heart disease and other nutrition-related health challenges. Being a woman doesn’t mean that we have to bear these limitations. Food is meant to nourish us – not kill us!!
That’s why I created the Better Diet Project. This purpose of this project and blog series is to help women overcome health challenges with better foods, new flavors and a winning attitude! Throughout the year, I will explore over 200 different naturally healthy whole foods, beverages, and ingredients that can easily be incorporated into flavorful and nutritious everyday meals and snacks. In addition to “telling” you about these new foods, I will also share simple recipes and shopping tips to help you eat what you need to flourish.
Tell your mom, grandmothers, sisters, aunties, and girlfriends about the Better Diet Project today.
Email them, call them, tweet them and put it on their Facebook page. Sign up to join my mailing list so you’ll receive nutrition info and recipes for each of the 200 natural whole foods I’ll feature during the Better Diet Project! (see orange button look on the upper right corner of this page…)
We can’t continue to feel stuck because of our weight and growing health problems. It’s time to break free - and we will…..by simply eating better.
Playing to win and changing the way we eat,
